MOVE YOUR ENERGY

FAQS

App EVcharge

It is a mobile application that allows users to have real-time information on the availability and location of charging stations, as well as free or paid tariffs (by time or power). Available on Google Play and App Store.

In order to be able to recharge, it is necessary to register and enter the driver’s details, credit or debit card and vehicle information to make use of the application.v

In the side menu there is a section called ”vehicles”, where you can enter the details of all the vehicles you want.

When you are going to start a recharge, the same App asks you for the recharging time and power, as well as the vehicle with which you want to carry out the management.

EVcharge RFID key fobs

Our RFID key fob allows you to activate free EVcharge compatible recharging points more conveniently and quickly.

Just attach the key fob to the charger, connect the cable to your car and start recharging!

The EVcharge RFID key fob is used to activate recharging at free public chargers. Therefore, you will not be able to activate it on paid chargers.

No, the key fob automatically activates a full charge until the car battery is full (at the maximum power the charger can deliver) or the time limit defined by the owner of the recharging point.

You can purchase the key fob from our EVcharge app or also from the following link.

Either way the price is 19.95 (shipping costs included) and it will be useful to activate all the free points managed by Etecnic, you can use the application itself as a support to find them.

We currently have a delivery time of 10 to 15 days.

Yes, the key fob will be linked to your username and ready to use.

If the key fob does not work, you will need to contact Etecnic via the Evcharge App and create a support ticket:

  1. Access the menu and go to chargers.
  2. Look for the charger with which you have had an incident.
  3. Move the arrow on the right of the charger head to the left.
  4. Click on the red incident button
  5. Write the reason for the contact, the charger where you have had the problem and the number of the key fob.
  6. Generate your ticket, we will process it as soon as possible.

Before starting my journey

In the EVcharge App, you will find a drop-down menu on the left.

Go to the ”map” section, where you can customise the view of the area: map with relief, map without relief, satellite with labels or satellite without labels.

On the map you can see the recharge points in the selected area. If you access a recharging point, you will see the connectors at that station, the tariff and their availability in real time.

You can check it directly on the Evcharge App because all recharging points update their status in real time.

It depends on the configuration of each charger, not all recharging points have compatible reservations.

When a free charger can be reserved, when you click on it, the ”charge” option will appear as well as the ”reserve” option and you will see how it changes colour to yellow when you reserve it.

It is not possible to make reservations for a specific date, the reservation starts at the moment of the request up to the maximum number of minutes allowed.

Chargers with this function have a maximum reserving time and may (or may not) have a price per minute reserved. By clicking on ‘’reserve’’ you will be able to see the options for each charger.

  • Blue: at least one of the connectors has a vehicle recharging.
  • Green: at least one of the connectors is available
  • Grey: not available because it is undergoing maintenance
  • Yellow: charger reserved.
By selecting the recharging point, you can see in detail which connectors are occupied or reserved and which are free.

The price is defined by the owner of the recharging point (city council, service station, restaurant, …). Its cost is calculated based on the amount of kWh consumed at the recharging point.

Payment can be made directly on the EVcharge App or at some chargers using a credit card reader (at the charger itself) or at the customer’s establishment (in the case of service stations, hotels or car parks).

During the recharging session

If the charger is free.

  • From your EVcharge RFID activated EVcharge Key Fob: All you have to do is connect the hose, which you are going to use from the charger, to the vehicle; then bring your key fob close to the charger reader and recharging will start automatically.
  • From the EVcharge App: you can locate the charger on the map or scan the QR/NFC if the recharging point has one.

If the charger is a paid charger.

To start a charge, you need to log in to the EVcharge App.

If it’s the first time, you will need to add contact details, vehicle and a payment method to improve the recharging process.

Make sure the vehicle is switched off (it is more common than you can imagine to try to charge with the electric vehicle switched on) and check that all the doors of the car are closed, some cars understand that if a door is open, the vehicle is switched on and therefore charging does not start.

Another common reason is having the vehicle plugged in for too long without starting the charge. Unplug the cable from the vehicle, wait about 10 seconds and plug it in again.

If you are in the EVcharge App, open a support ticket and report your problem to the recharging point operator.

If charging still does not start, follow the instructions of the charging point operator, which are printed on one of the sides of the charger.

Make sure you have accepted the GPS permissions of your mobile phone.

In the App you will find a button at the top to force the location. If problems persist, close the EVcharge App and open Google Maps to check that it geo-locates correctly. Then re-open the EVcharge App.

If it still does not detect you, try another mobile phone to see if the problem is in the EVcharge App or in the mobile phone.

If you are in the EVcharge App, open a support ticket and report your problem to the recharging point operator.

If charging still does not start, follow the instructions of the charging point operator, which are printed on one of the sides of the charger.

A charger can be accessed if it has lost communication as long as it is a free public charger, and activates charging using a key fob/RFID card that has already been used to charge at the same recharging point.

In the event of a malfunction, check the number you will find in the recharging point instructions. Otherwise, call the Etecnic number: 977 595 549

For problems during the charging process, the OPERATOR has an assistance telephone number: 977 595 549, you must indicate the identification number indicated on the charging point ID-XXXXX.

If the owner of the recharging point has not contracted the assistance or maintenance service with one of our partners, the OPERATOR will not be able to solve the driver’s problems. In these cases, we will only be able to resolve concepts related to the operation of the EVcharge App.

You must create a Support Ticket:

End charging session (payments, invoices and balance)

Once you have added a payment method to your account you will not have to worry about paying at the end of each charge you make. At the end of your charge, the system will charge you the amount corresponding to the energy/time consumed, returning to your card the difference amount with respect to the pre-captured amount. The amount will be charged automatically from the credit or debit card associated with your account.

First you need to open the EVcharge App. Find the company section in your EVcharge profile and fill in the details with the information you need to receive invoices.

After this step, when you make a charge at a payment terminal you will receive an invoice at the end of the service.

You can find the history and download the invoices in “charges”.

This is an automatic process of the system, if the 5 minutes are exceeded, the minimum recharge price of €0.50 is applied, which corresponds to a commission of the payment gateway. This amount cannot be credited.

If the amount charged is higher than the recharged energy cost, it is due to a blocking process of the payment gateway. The refund period can be up to 7 days according to STRIPE and depends on the bank (we refund immediately). If after this time it has not been carried out, please contact OPERATOR again and we will evaluate the situation.

The wallet balance indicated in the APP cannot be returned.

However, the balance process is executed periodically, so if there is a failed or uncompleted upload, it may take longer than usual for the wallet balance to be returned. We recommend refreshing the APP.

By clicking on the “Charges” section of the APP menu you can directly access your list of EVcharge charges.

Each charge in the list will show the charger code you used, the date and time you started charging and the amount of kWh your vehicle recharged.

If you click on a specific charge you will access all the data of the charge. Cost, percentage of battery charged and charging graph.

You can also access this data in real time by clicking on a currently active charge.
