This event, held in Barcelona, brought together the main players in the mobility and urban innovation sector, offering a space to present the latest technological advances and sustainable solutions.

At the EVcharge booth, attendees were able to explore the company’s most outstanding solutions:
EVcharge Manager: The comprehensive management platform enables charging point operators (CPOs) and mobility service providers (EMSPs) to monitor and manage their charging networks remotely. With real-time monitoring, advanced analytics and automated billing functionalities, EVcharge Manager facilitates scalability and reduces the need for manual interventions, thus improving operational efficiency.
Smart Pricing: The star feature presented at the event was Smart Pricing, a new tool integrated into the EVcharge Manager platform. This functionality uses advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms to optimize the revenue generated by electric vehicle charging. During the two conferences given by José Ignacio Latorre, SaaS Business Unit Manager at EVcharge, the details and benefits of this innovation were explained.
What is Smart Pricing and how does it work?
Smart Pricing is a dynamic pricing tool that allows operators to adjust recharge rates based on multiple factors, with the aim of maximizing the number of charging sessions and optimizing revenues. José Ignacio Latorre explained that this functionality is based on the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms, which analyze a variety of forecasts and data, such as:
- Photovoltaic production: Solar production forecasts are taken into account to determine when to use stored energy most efficiently.
- Cost of energy: The system considers the cost of energy based on the time of charging and battery storage prices, adjusting the price of recharging accordingly.
- Traffic patterns: Analyzes traffic patterns and load demand at each specific point, identifying peaks and valleys of usage.
- User habits: Analysis of the habits of regular drivers at the station allows for dynamic adjustment of fares, incentivizing use during off-peak hours.
With all this information, Smart Pricing is able to offer an intelligent pricing proposal that not only optimizes revenues, but also increases the number of recharges at stations, benefiting both operators and end users.
Smart Pricing Conferences
José Ignacio Latorre gave two exclusive lectures on the Smart Pricing Project, where he delved into the strategies and technologies used to develop this innovative functionality. The first session took place on Wednesday, November 6th in the Green Area (Hall 2) and the second one on Thursday, November 7th in the Agora of the Generalitat de Catalunya (Hall 3).
Both conferences attracted a large audience, interested in learning how the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning is transforming the electric vehicle charging sector.
